Alexis Dougherty, M.D
Board Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon
One of Southern California’s top board-certified dermatologists, Alexis Dougherty, MD, provides comprehensive care for chronic skin conditions and anti-aging needs. She welcomes new and existing patients to Kind Dermatology and Medical Spa in Santa Barbara, California.
Dr. Dougherty earned her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas/MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Dougherty finished her post-graduate work with a dermatology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Because of her passion and dedication to the field of dermatology, Dr. Dougherty completed rigorous training to become board-certified in dermatology through the American Board of Dermatology. Shortly after completing her medical training, Dr. Dougherty relocated to Santa Barbara, California to work in private practice and be close to her family.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Dougherty can communicate with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her patients commend her friendly, nurturing, and professional demeanor, as well as her willingness to spend time explaining conditions and treatment options.
Dr. Doughery is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery.
