What is VI Chemical Peel?

Having a beautiful, glowing skin is often the first thing that people notice about others. VI chemical peel is a physician administered chemical that softens fine lines, restores a more even skin tone, and smooths rough skin texture. The aging process can cause your skin to become pigmented and rough. Sun exposure and environmental assault add to the problem. Aging is inevitable, but the VI Peel can make a difference in as little as 7 days. The makers of the VI Peel have more than 10 years of experience with satisfied patients across the world.

How does it Work?

The VI chemical Peel cause injury to the first and second layer of sin. This activates the skin’s nature wound healing process that results in multiple layers of skin flaking off and revealing new, un-damaged, more even skin. Ingredients include Trichloroacetic acid (TCA), Resorcinol, Lactic Acid, and other pigmentation lightening ingredients. It is important to continue certain products after the chemical peel to continue the resurfacing process like Tretinoin (Retin-A) and alpha-hydroxy acids.

Who Should get a VI Peel?

VI chemical peel is designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. With the resurfacing process, it will also lift away layers of pigmentation and uneven skin. People with mild photo-aging, acne scars, melasma, and other pigmentation issues will benefit from a VI Peel.

Are There Any Prior Preparations?

If you have a history of cold sores, then you will need to ask your practitioner to prescribe an anti-viral medication to be taken after the VI chemical peel and repeated in 12 hours. You need to stop any anti-aging products at least 2 days before your chemical peel (including Retin-A, Tretinoin, Retinol, Alpha-hydroxy acid, Glycolic Acid, etc.

What is the Down-time after the VI Chemical Peel?

Most people tolerate the VI chemical peel well. It causes a tingling sensation of the skin but does not cause pain. It is very important to avoid direct sun-exposure and the elements for at least 1 week after your VI chemical peel. Your face with look slightly red and dry for the first 2-3 days after the VI chemical peel. By day 3-4 you will have sheets of skin peeling of the face. People do not get open sores, bleeding, or crusting. Each patient gets a post-VI peel care kit that comes with hydrocortisone cream, cleanser, and sunscreen. Typically, patients are finished with pealing completely by day 8-10. You can apply make-up starting at day 8.
